Release Notes

This release requires DotNetNuke Core 5.4.4 or greater (was updated March 16th, 2011) and includes the following updates:
  • 19702: Added support for line breaks in quick reply.
  • 19701: Fixed bug where reported user's (in MCP) reported post count was taking ID instead of an actual count.
  • 19700: New Feature: Post Advertising (in ACP, ads display in posts view). This is a single piece of ad text or integrated with core banners.
  • 19452: Fixed bug with HTML encoded characters in the last post text.
  • 19235: Fixed bug in Email cleanup scheduled task.
  • 19178: Fixed multiple bugs around email subscribers view (ACP).
  • 19123: Implemented core Telerik grid in Reported Users (MCP).
  • 19121: Implemented core Telerik grid in Users grid (ACP).
  • 19118: Added ability to see total post count in moderation queue from MCP overview page.
  • 19115: Added ability to see total reported posts count in moderation queue from MCP overview page.
  • 19114: Fixed bug where css was not always being applied on post backs.
  • 19113: Fixed bug where "Bannded Period Ends" could not be set.
  • 19070: Fixed bug where disabling taxonomy had unexpected results (new thread errors).
  • 15492: Made UI XHTML compliant.
  • Converted more items to use wrapped Telerik controls.
  • Updated copyright year (2011) across module.
  • Added fix for potential SQL injection exploit.

Telerik Install

The Telerik Install package references the Q1 2011 release of Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX that addresses many problems with Internet Explorer 9.0. This download can be found here http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/releases/view/63026#DownloadId=226447.

NOTE: If you had the 5.0.1 version of the module previously installed, simply do a 'repair' install this time around (you will be presented w/ a checkbox, just click and accept it there are no other changes beyond the reference).

The update with new DNN 6 is great... but the attachments don't work anymore (I saw it's an already reported bug... but not resolved yet)

upgrade from 4.4.3 to 5.0.1 completely breaked my installation when executing 4.5.1 sqlscript. Never been able to install it...

I would be glad to see the PM feature back inside the Forum. The integrated DNN messaging is useless without a PM button in the forum message.

The previous was is not very stable, i hope this one is. Bugfixing is of more importance to me then new features.

Nice job on this release. I am happy you are starting to release regular updates. This is good news for the future of the core forums module.
